2017 Summer Missions Trips

TANZANIA
May 15th - 30th

Marcia Yount returned to Tanzania in May to teach at the Annual Africa Inland Church Pastors' Conference. Ministry included teaching Bible and theology classes to pastors and evangelists, teaching children at the local Christian school, and at the Tanzania Children's Rescue Center.

SMYRNA, TN
June 18th - 23rd

The youth and families ministry will serve alongside the interns and staff at Community Servants, a non-profit ministry in the Wherry Housing community. Ministry activities will include the rehabilitation of homes in need of TLC (including demolition, painting, cleaning, repairs), as well as the opportunity to connect with residents and their children through afternoon soccer games and snacks.

QUININDÉ, ECUADOR
June 27th - July 7th

Fred and Arlene Jonkman (missionaries supported by St. Paul's) have come alongside believers in Quinindé who are ministering to families in the poor neighborhoods. The men will work with Fred on an ongoing construction project at a five-acre "House of Hope" property. The ladies will do some painting projects and work at the three children’s projects in marginal areas of the city.

OAXACA, MEXICO
August 31st - September 5th

Orangewood Presbyterian is organizing a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, to work alongside Armonia Ministries. Armonia is meeting the holistic needs of the poorest and most marginalized of Mexico. St. Paul's has partnered with this ministry for many years. During this trip, there will be medical, dental, and optical clinics in Oaxaca, while others will be doing light construction on the student residence building. As you serve, you will develop relationships with the students and experience the richness of Mexican culture. This trip is open to young adults and older. Applications should be submitted to Kaye Morningstar at Orangewood. Application deadline is Friday, June 16th!
